For Those Keeping Track

Starling number three in the basement (dead starling number two) has just been cleared out.

I am, once again, completely grossed out.

I was privileged to dispose of the corpses from Graham's chipmunk killing spree in my parents' yard. Mmmm, still warm.

Holidays were dull here. Stayed home, watched partial fireworks from our balcony, saw Wall-e in our first, and probably last trip to the movie theater in a long, long time, and started watching The Wire, Season One. Not sure how I missed this series the first time around. Good stuff so far.

It's odd. Disposing of dead animals in my yard: not pleasant but not skin crawling. Something about having it in my home just freaks me right out. Plus, there's the side terror that it's not actually dead (which I deal with by madly flailing at the concrete floor with the shovel in order to create a racket that will make it twitch, should it still be able to do so).

Eh, I think you may be too pessimistic. I understand they're portable like luggage the first few months.
