Your Midwestern Winter Wonderland. Or Something.

Here's the view Chez Laura, before the next round of snow, i.e., the two to four inches coming our way tonight.

believe it or not, i envy you your ridiculous piles of snow. where i am it's 81 degrees. what the hell kind of winter is that?

Heh. Another one of your fellow cold-climate transplants is not of the similar feeling.

About now, I'd take 81 degrees. I think it's the oppressiveness of sameness. I may also be better able to enjoy it as an abstract concept if I didn't have to deal with snow removal and lived somewhere urban, where unplowed/unshoveled sidewalks are pretty rare. It just takes so much effort to do anything when it's bitterly cold and you have to slog through a mess.

Yeah, not feeling it. I feel I can curl up with cat, hot chocolate, and quilt sans the bone-chilling cold, blizzard-like conditions, and having to haul out to shovel heavy, wet snow at 10:30 at night.
