Sometimes IMDB Is Not Your Friend

Web surfing equals random exposure to this show, about rich teens doing their dramatic teen thing. And this guy, Mr. Used-To-Be-Cool-Band-Guy, washed up, dad to lead kid characters: he's like my age. Jesus.

I feel strangely motivated to get my job house in order. Any suggestions on what I should be doing with the rest of my life are welcome.

Seeing as the whole B-school thing isn't looking promising on my end, I'm open for suggestions as well.

Crap! I was wondering about that, given what you said about Chicago.

Moving to the Canadian Rockies and opening up a ski lodge? You and Marya and I can be business partners. I'll cook. We'll do a vegetarian gourmet thing, and that will be our hook.

And I'll get certified and teach yoga. It will be a wellness retreat.

I'm liking this. My other plan was educational travel. Customers would book two week long trips to various destinations and take a course in a local activity: Buenos Aires-Tango and Spanish lessons; Rio-Samba and Portugese (or Capoeira in place of Samba); Japan-ikebana and Japanese or sushi making, or shodo, karate, kendo, tons of things; China and tai-chi/Chinese/cooking/etc. It's for the people tired of doing the same old thing when traveling.

Educational travel would be a cool niche too. Of course, it's not in Canada, but all plans have small flaws.
