You Know What Just Seems Gratutituously Mean?

An artic cold snap on the first day back to work after the holidays. As if getting out of bed isn't hard enough.

Ours doesn't start in earnest until tomorrow, so we had it a little better this morning.

You'll get yours! [shaking fist]

I shouldn't complain, though, because a friend of mine just had his houses's pipes burst while they were on vacation, and they came home to a wrecked kitchen. They had just remodeled, of course.

Hope your holidays were nice.

Very nice. Lots of home-cooked Indian food, a day trip skiing in the Catskills, and a healthy dose of sitting around doing nothing. Aside from the immense back pain I had Dec. 28, 29, and 30th after carrying my aunt's suitcase through Penn Station, things were good.

Wow, years of karma after all of us helping you move and injuring our bodies in the process. ; - )

I kid, of course. Sorry about your back.

Oh no! That sucks. Hope there wasn't too much damage.

As I remarked just this a.m. when we were talking about said flood (his, not yours), the upside of excessive cat pilling is that I've got people through my house all the damn time when I'm away.
