Happy Friday, everybody! Hope you too will be having excessive amounts of fun experiencing holiday commerce. While holiday sales have increased for big retailers this year, it's the smallest increase in five years. Do your part, people. For America.

Okay, I finally remembered to write up my list while home for lunch. Here was my ten from my workout this morning:
The Mermaid, The Clancy Brothers
Had a Dad, Jane's Addiction
Mound, Phish
In My Head, Queens of the Stone Age
1979, Smashing Pumpkins
Been Caught Stealing, Jane's Addiction (really? with over 2,500 songs, 15 of them are Jane's Addiction, and I get two in the span of ten minutes?)
Tusk, Fleetwood Mac (Marya's doing)
River, Ennio Morricone
Little Miss Can't Be Wrong, Spin Doctors (not sure why I even loaded this misguided college purchase)
Wow, I posted, and nothing came up. Short version of previous:
Yay, Toby, a player!
Re-note: BeeGees. No shaming here.
Impressive with the morning excercise routine. I can't even wake up early enough to make a sandwich.

what are you saying?
Funny, though. Just this morning, there was a cat in the shrubbery by the bus stop, and I was all, "awwww, kitty..."
Hey, have a good time shopping with the parents tomorrow. Sorry I had to miss it.
Dave and I got stuck in a traffic jam tonight and sat parked on the freeway for over an hour. I was coming from Novi and he was coming from work and we ended up parked right next to each other. Luckily the kids were sleeping and I had stopped and got dinner on the way home, so at least we had dinner. Dave got out of his car and walked over to mine to get his dinner.

Okay, Nikki, that's hilarious. And kind of frustrating, no? I thought rush hour in Detroit was "bumper-to-bumping hauling ass," as my dad likes to describe it.
But we'll have fun with our 10-hour (!!!!) shopping marathon. Methinks drinks will be in the mix.
Erik, ride those jokes all the way to the beach, I say. And I was just listening to the complete Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong this week. Weird. Or not. Guess it depends.
