Heroes Blogging, II

Well. What do we think, kiddies? I trust we noted Lt. Uhuru's appearance in New Orleans? Feels so much better, after we lost George Takai, no?

Other random thoughts: This wonder twins power has me confused. Hiro's story is striking me as a bit too Cyrano (and I feel sorry for the love of his life last season who met her untimely end; he moved on fast). And Peter's amnesia and accompanying Irish adventure is just making me impatient. Although it looks like things are kicking into gear.

But, Silar! He does liven up a party.

UPDATE: You guys are killing me. I'll be forced to debate myself.

Sorry, busy day. Wonder why Silar is no longer able to access his powers or steal new ones. I'm sure it's only temporary though. No shock the illusionist was a tub. She intimated that last season. I'm curious to see how he'll escape his little hut in the middle of the Amazon.
I think Hiro's storyline is okay. It started out Cyrano-like, but I think he might be done trying to win her over for Kensei and may try his own hand, seriously messing up the time line.
Plus, I think the painting at the end is geared to make you think Claire's new beau killed Hiro's dad, but I'm still going with Kensei.
As for Peter, end your amnesia already and get with the program. The Irish lass ain't all that.

I loved how Silar raced back into it full form. Does that make me twisted or just a fan of drama? I think he's still a guinea pig for the company (or another power? I hear Kristen Bell's going to be the new big bad), though, and that they're messing with his powers. Or, he could have that virus. He's going to be seriously pissed when he gets off that island. I can't wait!

Yeah, I think Hiro's going after the chick himself, but I still am impatient. What, he's going to stay in the 15th or 16th century and raise a brood with her? Plus, what is this based on what, exactly? The fact that she's purty when she frolics in the cherry blossoms? Please. Bigger fish to fry, Hiro. Do your goddamn bit for history.

Yeah, I think the painting is a feint on Claire's beau. But I was assuming that Claire's beau kills Claire's dad, not Hiro's, unless you're supposed to think it's one bad actor.

Peter! Get to the heroic, ditch the Irish chick who, as you say, is not all that. I love how they celebrate a good heist with a celebratory tatoo-in' though. Did you catch the symbol she put on there and how it was absorbed by Peter? So are we supposed to assume she (and these thugs) are in on the meta story, here?

"tattoo'in", I mean.

Also, thank god you weighed in! The cat was not enthralled with listening to my theories and analysis.

So, it's a given, do you think, that Nichelle Nichols is a first-generation hero too?

And I know you think I'm reading too much into things, but what is up with having two new people have the same powers and two others (flying and healing). It seems like it should mean something.

Okay, I'll shut up now. You're allowing me the illusion that I'm not in fact debating myself.

Duplicated powers does seem a bit odd, so I'm sure it ties into the larger story. As for Silar's captors, it's definitely the Company. The illusionist worked for them. As for Nichelle, it is entirely possible she has powers herself. I also see the possibility of the boyfriend killing Claire's dad, but the shadowy figure is very similar to the one they show before Hiro's dad was killed, so they seemed to be linked. As for Peter's tattoo, as his self-healing power rejected it, it morphed it into Kensei's symbol briefly, which I think has to do with his own internal energy rather than anything the Irish gang has knowledge about. I don't think they're involved anymore than a way to let Peter discover his powers one by one.
