Oh, I forgot to mention that I ran into Alex S. at the conference last week. He is now the DIRECTOR of Northern Illinois University Press.
Speak of the devil, and oh my god. Unbelievable, but I guess that answers the question. Is there an actual "good old boys club," and have you personally heard anything about the membership?
